Holy Smokes!

I was on my way to the libary and was stopped at a traffic light when I happened look up. In front me and to my right, there was this humongous, billowing black cloud of smoke overtaking the sky. At first, I was thinking it was a forest fire, but then how can there be a forest in the middle of an urban city? So when I got home, I looked it up online and BOOM, there it was.
A child was playing with a fireworks sparkler when it caught fire to two apartment units. In most cities, fireworks are illegal and some had shot down theme parks from using these bedazzling skylights. Even so, pyro-enthusiasts still buy fireworks that are leagal in some cities and take it back home. That goes to show that people still can get away with certain things. This also includes people that may celebrate another culture, like Chinese New Year for example, and buy celebratory firecrackers to use in their home (I wake to my neighbor’s “Chinese New Year celebration” every year).
Luckily, no one was hurt during the occurance of the blaze. But unfortunately for the child’s family, they have to deal with the $500,000 bill that’ll be showing up in their next month’s rent, and the boy will probably face a lifetime of grounding (or at least, until summer is over).
