I hope you didn’t start reading this because you thought that this was going to be a Naruto Musical that you are hoping for. This is, in fact, real live ninjas! This crazy group known as the Krondor Krew, is one of the most unusual rap groups around. Why are they unusual? They are NINJA RAPPERS.

Yes, folks. Ninja Rappers.

“Krondor Krew is the code name for Florida’s daring, highly trained, special hip-hop ninjas force. Their purpose: to dispense lyrical ninjitsu against pirates, zombies, wizards, and whack emcees; to show every audience that the only true way is the way of the Ninja; to promote the declaration of ninjapedence, and the pursuit of ninjaness.”

These guys aren’t your everyday Eminem-wannabes swinging around plastic swords and nunchucks. These professional hip-hop ninjas bring awesomeness to wherever they roam. Shinobi Onibocho (the Ninja mastermind of the group), Masurao (the Shogun), and their Elite Henchninjas Hikari and Hanzou are the members of Krondor Krew. The crew itself, has been together for six years and ongoing, having done shows at conventions, specializing their music in “ninjaness” and anything nerd-worthy. One song in their album, Five Deadly Cuts (2008), called “I Play DnD” talks about the game an infamous game amongst nerds: Dungeons & Dragons (D&D). Now some of you may deny ever playing D&D, but you know, my level 46 Half-Elf Hunter can beat your character any day.

Other songs, like “Talisman Attack,” “Baby Drama,” and “Ninja Masters” are all unusual and nerd-like in their own way and can be found in their current album, The 6th Rotation of the House of the Chaos Star, which can be found on their website www.krondorkrew.com.

Today, Krondor Krew has just recorded an audio, Episode 22: Where, The Wild Things Are, with the Nerdy Show (pun intended). Hilarious and nonsensical, Masurao and Shinobi are a blast on the show.

And speaking of shows, Krondor Krew‘s live performance shows always consisted of feet stomping, clapping, hollaring, and whistles from the audience as they egg on their favorite one and only ninja band. Though, one weird quirk happens during their shows that drives the audience up the wall. Onibocho says, “There is a standing order. Anyone who comes to our show dressed in ninja gear or a sexy kunoichi outfits gets to come on stage.”

Want to join in on the fun? Krondor Krew will be playing at the Mariott Hotel next to the International Airport at Nerdapalooza in Orlando, Florida, starting July 17th, 2010. Apparently, Krondor Krew isn’t unfamiliar with the spotlight since they have played at Nerdapalooza four times before, and when I had asked about why his group decided to play there, Onibochi stated, “It’s a great place for this silly nerdcore music.”
