I’ll be brutally honest.  This game is not like it was back in 1998. This game has way better graphics, and new upgrade features for single player.  It still has the classical feel, but the writing is mediocre.  It’s a very slow story, and it might bore you to death.  I’m still playing through it, and I’m a bit disappointed. After a couple of missions I feel like it’s just not grabbing on to me. Heck even Starcraft 1 still grabbed my attention in the first mission.

I don’t know what it is, but I feel they added a lot of useless crap that strays away from the actual core of Starcraft.  The whole Mass Effect 2 esque interaction just slows down that continuous adrenaline rush you get in the first Starcraft game. It tends to get boring at some points.

It’s still a good game, and I will finish it, and let you guys know if my thoughts have changed after the first impression.  For new people introduced to Starcraft, they might just appreciate the whole “slow” storyline gameplay.
