The father of Final Fantasy finally gives us a glimpse of his new RPG game for the Wii. This is a must watch! Just amazing! It brings that feel of the old glory days of the core of what Final Fantasy was about. Do not doubt the powers of Hironobu Sakaguchi.

Just as he started Final Fantasy 1 on Nintendo he will start a new franchise with the same company that made his series popular. But this time, with 3D rendered models, voice acting, and larger town explorations. Not only that, but if you are not familiar with his work. He has that dark, and mature style that he envisions in his games. This is what made Final Fantasy true to the fans.

It’s been a long time since Final Fantasy 7, and now Nintendo fans will be pleased. Let’s just hope the gameplay fits the controllers. That’s my only concern.

Thank you Mr. Sakaguchi Thank you!

Edit: I just noticed when visiting The Last Story website, the icon that appears on my browser is Retro Mario from the NES days.  Just looking at that reminds me of the first Final Fantasy on the NES. Maybe Mr. Sakaguchi is reminding us about the old days when he first designed his first Final Fantasy game.  Maybe The Last Story is his final chapters  as a game designer.  It sounds sad to think about it in that point of view.  But maybe that’s the reason why he chose that title.  It has a deeper meaning to it.

Or I’m just being emonized by the song on the webpage right now, and it’s making me think haha.
