As far as the leaked announcement, I decided to download the so called “Tech Demo” that people are talking about. You probably think I’m an evil person right now that has no respect for developers. But you have it all wrong! I am a loyal Crytek fan, I have bought the first game, and I am getting Crysis 2 when it arrives at my doorstep. Also, I am promoting this game to the max because it is amazing! Free marketing helps companies like Crytek to gain ground on their products.

Now listen carefully kids. This is where the term “Guerrilla Marketing” comes from. Some companies find it unethical, but for others it works wonders. And you know why it works wonders? It’s because they don’t have to spend millions and millions of dollars on advertising. This gives companies the advantage of making more money. But remember, Guerrilla marketing is only effective when you know what you are doing.

So back on topic.. For those who decided not to peak their curiosity over this leak, you must be wondering if Crysis 2 needs a “high end” system just like Crysis 1? The answer is “NO!” You won’t have any problems running it on max settings with an average card like an HD 5770 at 1920 x 1080. That is the beauty of Cry Engine 3 on Crysis 2. Cry Engine 3 is Crytek’s answer to performance, and quality in one box. So you can have a great looking game on the outside while being a beast in the inside. The modding community will have a field day with this engine.

Now the main question you must all be asking is if Crysis 2 surpasses the qualities of Crysis 1? And the final answer to that is.. Oh Yes! It’s way better in my oppinion, and a lot of fun. It’s a different experience. It has more action, more explosions, more futuristic guns, and of course the Nano Suit which can now be accessed with keyboard shortcuts. They added a sliding technique which you will see in the video below. You will be able to slide while shooting your guns like those John Woo films. You will be able to kick cars out of the way, and blow up building environments. Let’s just sum it all up as a one epic crazy game that has massive aliens roaming NYC with large laser beams, and huge amounts of destruction. Good enough?

With that said I am not here to promote piracy and by law it’s illegal to distribute the game which I have not. I am just here showing off Crytek’s latest installment which will make a huge hit. You will find this more interesting than Black Ops. This will probably get a GOTY award (Game Of The Year). Bubye Black Ops here we go Crysis 2.

I just hope Steam makes a deal with Crysis 2 before launch so I can cancel my Pre-Order, and get it off Steam. I like to have my games in one library. Crysis 2 is now available on Steam.
