Minecon starts in 3 days, which will kick off the full version of Minecraft and the official end of the beta period. This means you have 3 days to buy it at the beta price (€14.95/$21). The final release price will be €20 (≈ $28).
For those who already own Minecraft, you can preview the final version with the current pre-release, 1.0 Release Candidate 2, which you can find here. To use a pre-release you have to already own a copy of Minecraft, but if you follow the instructions it’s rather easy to do. (more…)

Inside massive multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG), when a gamer meets a female-portrayed character, most likely the chances are that the person playing that character is a guy. So why aren’t women playing the girl characters in the games?

I haven’t been up to date with my steam games, so when I went to check it today. Guess what? STEAM SALES! Oh my god! I’m pretty lucky I caught it before it was over. I’ll hopefully buy the games I’ve been wanting for a while; like Toki Tori and the double pack of Ben There Dan that & Time Gentlemen Please!

APB Reloaded is now Open Beta, and it’s free 2 play. Using the Unreal Engine you will get to explore vast cities like Grand Theft Auto, but as an MMO. The custom char creation in this game can go along the lines of Aion. It’s simply amazing, and a face lift to the failed retail version of APB. (more…)

I would never have thought I’d see the day when Super Street Fighter IV would be released on the PC. I turned on steam, and checked out the highlights and I saw this on the front page.

So it looks like PC owners are getting the Arcade Edition in July. Now it’s just a matter of time before they bring Marvel Vs Capcom 3.
Thanks to Capcom they haven’t forgotten about the PC market.

Well this is a turn of events. Crysis 2 retail gets leaked early for the Xbox360 before the PC. It looks like consoles are no different than PC when it comes to piracy. This is going to be a huge discussion for PC owners considering that XBox fans love to put the piracy blame on PC owners. Then again statistically XBox360 is getting more piracy than PC games these days. And Valve is getting the better half of the money making machine. Moving along.. Thanks to my friend for this info.
*Don’t ask me anything I don’t own an XBox360

Crysis 2 will be available in a few days with 3D optional for your HD TV (if you have $100 3D glasses). So I decided to make Crysis 1 in 3D for people who can’t afford expensive 3D ware. This is not the 3D you will find in “Crysis 2″, but at least you will be able to get a gist of how Crysis 2 will perform in 3D (hint: Avatar). (more…)

Since I had work I didn’t get to play much of Dragon Age 2 when it came out. I did manage to play for a bit, and I decided to make a comparison between DirectX 9 Vs. DirectX 11 using my new AMD HD 6950 graphics card modified to a 6970. What were the results? Not what I expected. (more…)

So Steam, and EA released the long awaited Multiplayer demo for PC users. But of course PC users always run into problems. You would think after the leaked build they would get this game polished enough for a proper demo, but I guess not.. (more…)
