Farewell Satoshi Kon August 25, 2010 at 12:45 pm

Paprika (2006, Japan) Directed by Satoshi Kon Shown: Director Satoshi Kon

Long live Satoshi Kon you will forever be missed, and I hope you enjoy your new journey into the place that you have always dreamed of. I will never forget your great works such as Paranoia Agent, and Paprika. My two favorite animes that really expanded my mind through psychology, and creativity.

paprikaParanoia Agent

If you haven’t seen his animations you should. It’s just mind blowing, and it really messes with your head. I’ve never seen any other animation that deals heavily on subjective reality. We won’t forget what he has done for the anime community, and also a person who has given us the opportunity to dream beyond our reality.

Justin Bieber “U Smile” Slowed Down August 18, 2010 at 9:36 am

You ever wonder what it sounds like to take one of Justin Bieber’s songs, and slow it down by at least 700 to 800 percent? Well.. you get some epic 35 minute chillout ambient effect.

I bet this track will be used in a lot of places that need some “relaxation”. But check it out! It does sound a bit like Sigur Ros, but more down tempo.

What if the Dr. Mario’s Theme Song Had LYRICS?! [Clips] August 16, 2010 at 11:37 pm

Brentalfloss, one of YouTube’s many channels, has come out with an awesome video of Dr. Mario. I know it came out last year, but I found it to be VERY ENTERTAINING. Imagine, if you will, lyrics to Dr. Mario’s theme song! I don’t know what I would think up, but Brentalfloss here came up with this awesome video. Go watch it now! I promise you that you’ll need stitches for those laughs.

HDMI Converter Box FAIL! at 5:07 pm

failsignSo I got the converter box, but it failed to ouput any signal from my graphics card. I was hoping to get 1080p format working, but I guess my graphics card is being more stubborn then it should be. Either that or the converter box is being stubborn with hdcp.

I guess I’ll have to bump my recordings down to 720p, and I just hate playing at such a low resolution when you got a monitor that can handle 1080p.  I’ll have to find another converter box that actually works with hdmi to component. Or a converter box that can strip HDCP.

Blah Blah! Back to the drawing board.

Return Of The Jedi Missing Lightsaber Scene [Clip] at 10:59 am

During Return Of The Jedi you noticed that Luke Skywalker had a green lightsaber. But we never knew how he got it, and we always assumed that he built it. This clip closes the gap of how Luke got his green lightsaber. Even if it’s a short clip it gives that nostalgic feeling of how great Star Wars was. It makes me want to watch it again (and I don’t mean episodes 1,2,3 with Anakin).

Updating on Dave’s status. August 14, 2010 at 10:51 am

Two weeks ago I posted about one of our editors, and a good friend undergoing surgery, but apparently it was pushed back till now. Early this morning he wrote a very deep, and moving blog. I am not in a position to know what’s going through his mental state, but I can only imagine how tough it is for him undergoing surgery for the first time.

You can check it out here.

Our hopes and prayers are with you Dave, and that your surgery ends up becoming a success. We’ll see you when you get back!

Getting a new HDMI converter box August 12, 2010 at 11:51 am

I realized my new graphics card does not support component out so I have to get an HDMI converter box so I can record from digital to analog. Until I receive that converter box from a friend I won’t be able to create any videos at the moment.

Hopefully I get the box within a few days and get started next week. But I have a lot of stuff I would like to share with you so let’s just hope this converter box doesn’t go kaput on me.

My Starcraft 2 Mini Review August 11, 2010 at 1:47 am

starcraft2

Starcraft 2: Wings Of Liberty is the beginning of a 3 part trilogy where we follow the story of the Terran race. I’m not going to spoil the story so you can go look it up. There was a lot of mixed feelings when playing the single player campaign. It wasn’t bad, and it wasn’t epic either. (more…)

Steve Brule’s Last Resort Fighting [Clip] August 9, 2010 at 6:08 am

If you are an 80s early 90s guy you’ll appreciate this video. This clip is what got me to watch Tim & Eric’s show on Adultswim a few years ago.  Thanks to a friend of mine who brought back the good old memories. I just love how they did the old school VHS editing it’s hilarious.

Family Visit Equals…!!! August 6, 2010 at 6:29 pm

Just a little update to you, my friendly neighborhood nerds:

Bucky and I have been quite busy lately and we apologize for not updating you guys on the interweb’s awesomeness. I’ll be spending this week and maybe next week with my family since they’re coming to visit, so I’ll update as soon as I possible can. Bucky, on the other hand is diligently working hard on making a video for you guys and will post as soon as he’s done with it.

Hopefully, all you wonderful readers out there can bear with us as we deal with our “situation” (especially me). I just hope that I don’t get eaten out of house and home with extra mouths to feed for the next week and a half! Dx

The Fairly Odd Parents Movie (?) August 5, 2010 at 11:35 pm

What, what, what?!?!?! Is this even remotely possible? Timmy Turner and his Fairy God Parents in a LIVE ACTION MOVIE!? This could go either way, people! I hope Nickelodeon knows what they’re doing (not that I’m complaining, I love watching Fairly Odd Parents), but from the looks of it, the Fairly Odd Parents movie will also have a bit of animation of Wanda and Cosmo by voice actors Susanne Blakeslee and Daran Norris. The live action versions will be played by Jason Alexander and Cheryl Hines. For all you screaming tweenie fans, Timmy Turner will be played by Drake Bell who acts as the playboy heartthrob of Nickelodeon’s other popular show, Drake and Josh.

I have to admit that I’m not to thrilled about the idea, but since I love watching Fairly Odd Parents, I’ll wait and see how it goes when it airs out next year on Nickelodeon.

Mosquito Got Me Sick August 2, 2010 at 5:20 pm

I think it was a mosquito because I tried to kill it last night after I arrived home. It was a huge one, and I tried to smack it with my shoe then I lost it.  I think it bit me last night, and now I have some sort of virus that’s lingering in my system. My nose is clogged, and my throat is starting to itch. Hopefully this is minor, and it won’t interfere with my work. Also, my mini Starcraft 2 review is underway so I will have that up soon with a box of tissues on the side.

Cuteness Galore! Moon’s Creations @ Otakon 2010 July 29, 2010 at 11:16 pm

Otakon starts tomorrow (in Maryland! Gosh, so far away), my nerdy friends! I, myself, won’t be able to go (since I’m so broke), but in vie of this, I thought I’d show you guys my favorite thing that will be coming up at vendors area so that you guys can go check it out!

Moon (as I would like to call her), like many of us online geeks, is an online blogger. However her blogs are COMPLETELY different. Yes, I said different. Moon is a self-proclaimed bunny maker since she makes cute, hand-made creations called “amigurumi bunnies” aka Moon Buns which are all hand crafted by crocheting and stuffing yarn into cute Moon Buns.

The reason why I mention her is because of Moon’s upcoming line that will be at Otakon 2010. As always, her creations are cute as well as creative. The pictures shown here are previews of some of the cuteness that will be there for sale at the table starting tomorrow!

Since I’m not going to be there, how about you guys get me a mini kappa while you’re there? Go! Go! Goooo! Haha….I’m joking!  :(

Anime Expo’s Dance to Darkwave [Clip] at 10:43 pm

For those of you who went to the Anime Expo (AX2010) Earlier this year in July, you’re in for a surprise!  Tank9 from YouTube compiled a nice video of you awesome cosplayers dancing to Aural Vampire‘s song called “Economical Animal Superstar”.

Also Check out Tank9′s other YouTube videos while you’re at it. I found them to be pretty entertaining since some have the “dubbed” feel to it. Made me laugh so hard when I watched their recent video: Legendary Hero of Legends.

It’s hilarious and epicly nerdy! :3 Enjoy!
