Switched Careers May 14, 2011 at 3:53 pm

Yes it’s been a month since I last updated. I have been very busy switching my career over to teaching. In other words I’m moving away from the corporate world for now. This will give me a little more free time to blog.

Also I am in the process of buying a new HD capture card so there won’t be any videos at this point in time.

Happy Tax Day! April 15, 2011 at 12:47 am

Today is when taxes are due in America if you haven’t forgotten, and also it’s my birthday. I actually forgot about my birthday since I had a lot of things on my mind. My father reminded me this afternoon on the 14th when he asked me how does it feel turning 29. I thought he was making a joke at first then I realized it, and was like ohh yaa I don’t feel any older.

Also not to mention the first Happy Birthday emails I received after I got back from work (newsletter subscription). They must have been 6 hours ahead of me somewhere in Europe. How funny is that…

In other news over 100 cities will be making April 16 Four Square day. Which makes it the first social media network that gets a holiday. In other words it’s another business day just like any other business day (valentines day). I guess I have something to look forward to next year when I turn 30! Celebrating tax day, and earning my badges for each place I check in with my mobile phone oh ya!

Well.. it’s the first hour of my birthday. Looks like it’s going to be sunny later this afternoon. It’s going to be a good day.

Now I can sleep… or watch a movie..

Was deciding to buy the AMD 1090T 6 Core April 11, 2011 at 6:41 pm

But I’m not anymore. June is around the corner, and AMD is ready to release their new 8 core Bulldozer GPUCPU FX chip which my motherboard can handle since it’s AM3+ ready.

The reason why I was thinking of getting a 6 core was for video editing, and other multimedia tasks. But when the 8 core arrives I think that will last me for another 3-5 years till I get a new setup.  At least it’s going to have a built in direct x 11 GPU that can work with current AMD graphics cards giving it a boost in performance.

Installed New Motherboard And Ram April 1, 2011 at 12:44 pm

I was offline for two days since I had a bit of complication installing Windows 7 on my Raid drives. But now I’m back, and on my new 890GX performance motherboard with 8 gigs of Rip Jaw ram. It’s extremely fast, and great performance.

The best part, I have the 80 dollar X3 740 Phenom II CPU that I bought a few months ago (open box) and the new motherboard unlocked the hidden core. So now I get 4 cores at 3.0ghz without spending 200 dollars more on a new x4 chip. Everything runs a lot faster including the installation. So right now it will take some time to restore my files.

Busy Busy Busy March 23, 2011 at 6:52 pm

Yes I haven’t gotten to play much games this week especially Crysis 2. I have too many projects running at the moment. I’ll post when I have the free time. Right now I’m enjoying a fine glass of Australian wine, and  relaxing my head.

Too many games so little time. January 29, 2011 at 3:05 am

notetoself

Lots of great games coming out this year, and it’s hard to keep up. I’ve bought already a few games this year, and I still haven’t touched most of them. And the only game right now that is keeping me occupied is the Last Story for the Wii. It came out in Japan just a few days ago, and…  It’s damn good! (more…)

Ah well.. sh*t hits the fan January 11, 2011 at 9:02 pm

Today is one of those days. My Logitech mic stand fell from my desk , and snapped in half. It was the only mic I had left since my Sennheiser headset broke  a few days ago. What’s even worse, I am preparing my trip next month to Thailand, and I realized I can’t find my passport. (more…)

Food For Thanksgiving November 24, 2010 at 8:17 pm

I’ve been busy taking care of the car accident I had last week, and now I finally got my car back. I tell ya these insurance companies make you pay way too much to just get a small area fixed on your car.  At any rate I managed to get my Thanksgiving shopping done. I got lots of bacon, and eggs for the feast. It’s too bad my parents couldn’t make it, but they’ll be here by Christmas which is just around the corner. At least my two older brothers, my oldest brother’s girlfriend and younger sister will be coming tomorrow. So it should be plenty of fun.

Also I already done my Christmas shopping early online so I don’t have to rush at the last minute. That’s the good thing about the U.S having Black Fridays it makes Christmas shopping less expensive.

But you all have a great Thanksgiving, and be careful on Black Friday.

Depeche Mode Karaoke Anyone? November 13, 2010 at 5:58 am

So I was trying to find a karaoke song without the lyrics of Depeche Mode Enjoy the Silence. I found this out on Youtube, and I totally wasn’t expecting this. Let’s just say she has a very unique voice.
