Medal Of Honor PC: Single Player Mini Review [Clip] October 17, 2010 at 8:08 pm

I decided to record 7 minutes on the snowy mountains fighting off the Taliban. There is no actual storyline in Medal Of Honor so it’s mostly real combat that places you in the game like the previous versions. If you are the type of person looking for a nice epic storyline like Call Of Duty or Bad Company you won’t find that here.

The graphics on the multiplayer and the single player are done by two different studios. The engine on the single player uses the Unreal Engine while the multiplayer is used by the Frost Engine (used in Bad Company 2). Both are great engines that provide a detailed experience.

But the greatest thing about Medal Of Honor is their sound technology. It’s the best sound you will find in any FPS war game to date. The use of the sound just puts you in the action, and hearing bullets fly in your headphones feels like watching Saving Private Ryan all over again. Every reload, firing, and the drop of bullets hitting the floor  just makes the overall experiences a whole lot better. It’s what I call the icing on the cake.

Now the only problem I have with this game is the combat, and the A.I. The combat is pretty stiff, and the A.I. is dumb. You’ll end up frustrating yourself trying to jump over obstacles, and crouching in most of the missions you play. The A.I. on the other hand is like the A.I. you will find in the old franchise of Medal Of Honor. Let’s just say you will have a field day with your teammates getting in the way.

Overall I am happy with the feel of the game. It still keeps the franchise together. It’s a fast paced  shoot em up arcade action, which can be great for replay value. Only if they could patch up the A.I. and the stiff controls it would make it a lot better. So watch my video in HD, put on your headphones, and enjoy the ride.

*Sound recording was low so wear headphones. Sorry!

Six Undisputable Truths October 14, 2010 at 9:39 pm

Let’s just say it made me smile, and laugh a lot. Probably the best email I’ve gotten this year.

Six Undisputable Truths

1.  You cannot stick your tongue out and look up at the ceiling at the same time – it’s a physical impossibility.

2.  All idiots, after reading No.1, will try it.

3.  And discover No.1 is a lie !!

4.. You are smiling now because you are an idiot.

5..  You soon will forward this to another idiot.

6.  There is still a stupid smile on your face …

I sincerely apologize about this but I’m an idiot and I needed company

You now have 2 options…delete it, or send it along to put a smile on someone’s face today.

HDMI Converter Box FAIL! August 16, 2010 at 5:07 pm

failsignSo I got the converter box, but it failed to ouput any signal from my graphics card. I was hoping to get 1080p format working, but I guess my graphics card is being more stubborn then it should be. Either that or the converter box is being stubborn with hdcp.

I guess I’ll have to bump my recordings down to 720p, and I just hate playing at such a low resolution when you got a monitor that can handle 1080p.  I’ll have to find another converter box that actually works with hdmi to component. Or a converter box that can strip HDCP.

Blah Blah! Back to the drawing board.

Updating on Dave’s status. August 14, 2010 at 10:51 am

Two weeks ago I posted about one of our editors, and a good friend undergoing surgery, but apparently it was pushed back till now. Early this morning he wrote a very deep, and moving blog. I am not in a position to know what’s going through his mental state, but I can only imagine how tough it is for him undergoing surgery for the first time.

You can check it out here.

Our hopes and prayers are with you Dave, and that your surgery ends up becoming a success. We’ll see you when you get back!

Getting a new HDMI converter box August 12, 2010 at 11:51 am

I realized my new graphics card does not support component out so I have to get an HDMI converter box so I can record from digital to analog. Until I receive that converter box from a friend I won’t be able to create any videos at the moment.

Hopefully I get the box within a few days and get started next week. But I have a lot of stuff I would like to share with you so let’s just hope this converter box doesn’t go kaput on me.

I Watched Silva Vs Sonnen Fight UFC 117 [Clip] August 8, 2010 at 9:52 am

It was a great fight I’ve never seen Anderson Silva get dominated on the ground more then 2 rounds. I give huge props to Chael Sonnen for showing his amazing wrestling skills. This is one of those fights that got Silva to wake up. (more…)

Family Visit Equals…!!! August 6, 2010 at 6:29 pm

Just a little update to you, my friendly neighborhood nerds:

Bucky and I have been quite busy lately and we apologize for not updating you guys on the interweb’s awesomeness. I’ll be spending this week and maybe next week with my family since they’re coming to visit, so I’ll update as soon as I possible can. Bucky, on the other hand is diligently working hard on making a video for you guys and will post as soon as he’s done with it.

Hopefully, all you wonderful readers out there can bear with us as we deal with our “situation” (especially me). I just hope that I don’t get eaten out of house and home with extra mouths to feed for the next week and a half! Dx
