So I’m sitting in my English Composition class, bored out of my mind, and I decided to “use” my netbook to write my “notes.” Don’t get me wrong, my professor is wonderful, but sitting in class for something I’ve heard before is so dull… Anyways, I found this awesome video from one of YouTube’s channels called HISHEdotcom. As you can see, they took the movie, Inception, and ended the movie the way they thought it SHOULD HAVE ENDED. Watch and learn, my nerdy friends.
One woman, Jenny, finally fed up, quits her job because of her boss, Spencer. Now, why is this awesome? She quits by emailing everyone at work and using flash animation of pictures telling her “story.” Check out more of it as The Chive digs out more of the dirt.
Ahhh, pop icons of 2010 are amazing… So why not immortalize them? Better yet, why not do it through YouTube?!? The Annoying Orange has given everyone’s favorite and strange celebrity, Lady Gaga, a new “twist” as Lady Pasta. Check it out!
YouTube announced that they will be increasing the video uploads from 10 to 15 mins. This is great for people who have a hard time crunching 10 mins of video in one session.
Then again.. the average view time on YouTube is around 3-5 mins. So unless your video is not a review, anime episode or some kid ranting for 15 mins of how stupid they are then I think you don’t need the extra time. But kudos to Youtube for allowing more time.
Amazing how people tend to regret things in life; especially family. I bet every single one of you hate your siblings the most, right? Even so, family is always what you’ll have close to your heart even if they do throw spitballs at your face. This little clip shows a brother and sister growing up together, via Google.
Ah, I had always wondered what it would be like to have a brother….I know it’s not exactly nerdy, but they used GOOGLE!!!! How can that not be awesome? It’s so cute right up till the end. :3
Have you ever wanted to surf but don’t know how? Don’t live near a beach? Can you skateboard with ease? Well, folks! This just in: TARP SURFING! A new way to ride the wave without ever getting your feet wet! Watch this crazy video as Ruse Entertainment sets up a new brand of sports!
Mel Gibson, seriously? A funny made-up clip by SmallPoppy on YouTube of Mel Gibson calling the Old Spice Man. It’s awesome because it uses audio of the actual Old Spice commercials. The conversation ends up really interesting…
Down in Orange County, California, the YoMama Crew continues to dance with passion (Boo to you if you think they suck, lets see you try breakdancing). The video that I’ve posted above shows off their skills at a concert they have done earlier this month. They are very creative as a team using popping and isolation as their main moves.
I know what you’re thinking: Why is this nerd-worthy?
Want to find out? Skip to 5:30 for a cute surprise.
I find that I always have a hard time getting my dog to “sit and stay,” but these trainers go to the extreme! Here, this YouTube video is of a Japanese show where some owners show how they get their animals to stay still as they stack food on top of them!
I don’t know about you, but I can’t even get my dog to sit still for one treat! D:
If you haven’t heard of Rhett and Link on YouTube, I think I think it’s about time for you to catch up with the times, my friend. The video I’ve posted here is about Rhett and Link trying to impress a waitress by rapping about their “success” in life.
Bucky and I thought this was nerd-worthy enough to post this interesting video here. Apparently, this DJ loves his job so much that he even DANCES to his own music! What’s even more funny? He’s old!
Not only does Ichiro love Dragon Quest, but he has that magical touch with his fans. Watch this fan as she goes nuts, and becomes star struck after Ichiro almost crashes into her. The funny part, the girl next to her was probably thinking “I don’t know this crazy girl”.
Youtube adds higher resolution display for 4096 x 3072 cameras. But I warn you! It lags like an S.O.B! You’ll need a fast computer to decode all that video. My setup is pretty decent, and it runs aroudn 15-20fps. But it’s good to know that Youtube is actually allowing higher resolution formats (even though we don’t need it). They need less options, and better quality compression. If you manage to look at the 3072p it’s as close as you can get to a “real” 1080p resolution. Remember.. you are not seeing actual HD on Youtube because it’s compressed.
Kamen Rider X, a popular Japanese show back in the 1970s where the super hero, Kamen Rider fights against an evil organization called G.O.D (ironic much?). In this clip, from WTF Japan, Seriously?!, Kamen Rider battles the evil Hilter Starfish! A STARFISH! And if you’re thinking what I’m thinking, yes, my little geeky friends, this is where Power Rangers came from!
If you remember getting that tiny red sketcher, then you’re in for a surprise!
Many of us as kids have tried and failed to make stick figures, and failed even harder sketch to make to even make a simple square. Fortunately, for the few of us with the patience, skills, and way too much time, we can create amazing masterpieces (enough at least for five minutes of fame or until someone shakes the sketch pad). Super Tremendous has a collection of these awesome….well, sketches.
This picture here is Capcom‘s Street Fighter II game with Ryu and Sagat. I thought it was appropriate since I grew up watching my older cousins play this game constantly. If you don’t know much about this game, go Wikipedia it….Or just enjoy the rest of the Etch A Sketch pictures.
What happens when you combine Twitter with Japanese culture? I found this randomly searching pictures of Anime on the internet, and this popped up. Props to the person who made this. You can follow him on twitter @Seagetch. Click the image to see the actual size.
What is Google TV? As you techno-geeks already know, Google has announced their biggest plan ever at the I/O 2010 Developer Conference in San Fransisco, CA. The big news? Google TV – The INTERNET on your very own HD flat screen TV.
But folks, this isn’t just any TV screen. Logitech has jumped into the wagon and joined in on the ride. The two-billion-dollar company, well-known for it’s computer accessories, keyboards, remotes, and contollers, have joined Google to create “an open platform that adds the power of the web to the television viewing experience, ushering in a new category of devices for the living room.” Easy access to the internet from one click of the remote.
But wait, doesn’t the PS3 already do this?
Of course, but the difference is that Google TV won’t run off a bulky console and require you to press “X” multiple times, as well as the fact you can STILL watch television and surf the web without any hassle. Just connect with a special Logitech Companion Box to your HDTV, and voilà! Instant gratification!
Excited? Too bad, we’ll all have to wait until later this Fall when Google TV comes out to the public.
